Rupert Grint Tries to Resist His Stalker Tendencies but Can’t Avoid Ed Sheeran in the ‘A Little More’ Music Video

Rupert Grint finds himself face-to-face with Ed Sheeran once again in the quirky and surreal new music video for the singer’s latest single, “A Little More,” released alongside the track on Thursday (Aug. 7).

In the whimsical visual, the Harry Potter star revives his unforgettable role as Sheeran’s overly obsessed fan from the 2011 Lego House video. After serving time behind bars for crashing Sheeran’s concert and pretending to be him on stage, Grint’s character attempts to turn over a new leaf. But no matter how hard he tries, the ginger-haired musician seems to appear everywhere — billboards, posters, TV screens, and even in his personal life.

As Sheeran sings the catchy yet biting line, “I used to love you/ Now every day I hate you just a little more,” viewers watch Grint’s increasing frustration as his world becomes flooded with Sheeran’s face.

The bizarre twist comes when Grint meets the woman of his dreams and proposes. But on their wedding day, every guest transforms into Sheeran — staring him down from the pews. The ultimate shock? Lifting his bride’s veil only to find Sheeran staring back at him.

Sharing the behind-the-scenes story on Instagram, Sheeran revealed, “I hadn’t worked with @rupertgrint in 14 years since Lego House, so didn’t know if he’d say yes to this idea. But I’m so glad he did. It’s such a fun, bonkers video … Rupert, my brother from another mother, thank you for throwing yourself into this — it wouldn’t exist had you said no.”

“A Little More” is the latest teaser from Sheeran’s upcoming album Play, set for release in September. Fans have already been treated to tracks like “Azizam,” “Old Phone,” and “Sapphire.” The album will be the first chapter in Sheeran’s new project series, following the conclusion of his Mathematics era — which included chart-topping records Plus (2012), Multiply (2014), Divide (2017), Equals (2021), and Minus (2023), all of which landed in the Billboard 200’s top five.
