Behind Witch Cabin is Tracy Marcellino Aubert, a Brooklyn-born, Los Angeles-based producer, songwriter, musician, and experiential food designer whose artistic identity refuses to fit inside a single category. Raised as a latchkey kid in San Francisco before eventually planting creative roots in Los Angeles, Aubert developed a perspective shaped by independence, city life, and constant reinvention.
Those experiences now translate into music that blends underground electronic textures with dance, alternative pop, and hip-hop inspired production.
Unlike many emerging electronic artists who rely on vocal features or trend chasing production, Witch Cabin builds songs from the ground up as complete emotional experiences. Every synth, rhythm, and melodic decision serves the story first.
That philosophy is becoming increasingly evident as “We Want Connection” continues building momentum across streaming platforms, introducing listeners to an artist whose music feels both intimate and cinematic.
The release follows another recent offering, an atmospheric reinterpretation of Prince’s classic “When You Were Mine.” Rather than recreating an iconic song, Witch Cabin approaches the cover as a respectful transformation, filtering its familiar melodies through her own electronic production style while preserving the emotional core that made the original timeless.
Currently sharpening her production skills through the Pete Tong DJ Academy, Witch Cabin is preparing for a new chapter that extends well beyond recorded music. International touring, immersive live performances, fashion collaborations, and multidisciplinary creative experiences all sit within the long-term vision.
Festival stages like Iceland Airwaves and Sonar remain aspirational destinations, but judging by the direction of her current releases, the journey already feels well underway.
At a time when much of modern music competes for attention through volume, Witch Cabin is doing something considerably more difficult.
She’s earning attention by creating space for people to feel seen.
