Even though Beyoncé’s trousers didn’t fall down on stage during her Cowboy Carter Tour on Thursday night (June 5), Queen Bey was nonetheless upset about the wardrobe malfunction.
Attendees shared video of the incident on social media, claiming that it happened on the first night of the icon’s performance at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. During a dance move during “I’m That Girl,” Bey’s golden, fringed bodysuit slipped off, causing her to fall to her ankles.
For many of us, this situation would be the worst nightmare ever, but the superstar maintained her perfect pose without even blinking before slinking into a crouch to pull the chaps back up. At that point, one of her backup dancers made sure the bottoms were once more securely fastened around her waist.
Naturally, Beyhive members were gushing in the comments section about their queen’s humorous timing of the malfunction as well as her unwavering professionalism. One user commented, “The song was so appropriate for the pants drop ‘these pants ain’t stopping me, deadass'” and included several laughing emojis. Another fan wrote, “The pants did their own choreography matched with the beat.”
Before spending three nights at the Stade de France in Paris, Beyoncé will do five more gigs in the United Kingdom through June 16. On June 28, the Cowboy Carter Tour will make a comeback to this side of the Atlantic, performing back-to-back gigs in Houston, Texas, her hometown.
